Cookie and local-storage policy

This page explains technology Mahana may use to remember a preference, run a tool, measure performance, or display advertising. A cookie is a small browser file; sessionStorage and localStorage are storage areas on the visitor's device.

1. Essential technology

Essential storage supports site operation, form protection, session state, and correct page loading. Blocking it may prevent some functions.

2. Browser storage used by tools

Some tools may keep a temporary session draft, use local storage for non-sensitive preferences such as favourites and recent tools, or keep a draft when you choose to save it. This data stays on your device, expires within 30 days, and can be cleared from the tools page, the individual tool, or browser settings. Do not use local storage for highly sensitive data, and clear it when using a shared device.

3. Analytics

If analytics is enabled, it may measure pages, visits, devices, and performance to improve the site. Non-essential analytics must load in line with the applicable consent choices.

4. Advertising

When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or other identifiers to serve and measure ads, limit repetition, and—where permitted—use previous visits for personalisation. Manage Google ad personalisation in Ads Settings.

5. Consent management

The theme alone does not prove that a consent management platform is active. The site administrator must configure a Google-certified platform before enabling advertising or analytics for visitors in regions where consent is required, particularly the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

6. Browser controls

You can delete or block cookies and site data in browser settings. Blocking essential storage may remove drafts or prevent certain functions.

7. Retention

Duration depends on purpose: some data ends with the session; other data remains until a service-defined expiry or until you delete it. When active, the consent interface should identify available vendor, category, and duration details.
